Back at the beginning of the pandemic I decided to use my extra free time at home wisely and do something that made me happy. I took a Master Class of Joel Grimes and a class with Matt Kloskowski as well. I signed up for a course through Phlearn to gain the basics of Photoshop. After all these years of photographing, I had never learned anything more than a couple of very basic things.

I wouldn’t say I am exactly a power user now, but I do feel quite comfortable working within Photoshop now and could easily process a photo from start to finish. I find that after learning the basics, I am understanding far more and even trying my own things. This image is a complete composite I put together for a contest and it did ok too! For a first time I think I did pretty well, not completely happy but I learned and that’s the main thing.
