This is University of Toronto campus as seen from College Street in Toronto. This photograph was used in some tourism literature for Toronto a few years ago. I love walking around the streets of Toronto shooting, wish I had more time to do it. There is so much happening on the streets there.
Photo of the Week #12
This photograph was made on the Dupont property near the filtration plant. Photographers sometimes wander into places they shouldn't really be. This was one of those times, it's posted as private property and everyone knows it, but many people take their dogs there for some exercise and seem to have no trouble so I went in. Just a couple of minutes after walking past the plant and to the shore, a security guard showed up and informed my I could not stay there. I did what anyone would do in this situation, I played dumb........seems to work most times, and this was no exception. This is called "Restricted Sunrise".
Photo of the Week #11
I have been a contributor to Getty Images for a number of years and I have sold some stock images here and there, but on Christmas Eve I checked my statement for the month of November and I was shocked to see that one of my images had sold and sold big! I was even more shocked to learn who the client was. None other than Louis Vuitton, Paris! I've been watching to see if I can catch how my image is used, but as yet haven't been able to locate it in the wild. When I do, I'll post it here.
Photo of the Week #10
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, this is the last Photo of the Week of the year. In the fall we took a walk with my stepson and his family for some photographs for a card. This is just a fun shot that I took afterward while my granddaughter was feeding a chickadee for the first time. It was funny because she was so serious about it. After awhile we got her to stand still enough to coax one in for a snack from her hand, she thought that was pretty cool.
Photo of the Week #9
This photograph was made on December 28th, 2010 in Havana. Sometimes you get a photo where you know as soon as you press the shutter that you have something special. The poster in the window of the store is in celebration of 51 years of Fidel Castro's rule since the revolution. The man in the photograph looks anything but happy or celebratory. When I saw this picture, I couldn't get my camera up fast enough, worrying that the man would move and I would miss it. Sometimes, you're just in the right place at the right time.
