This is a shot I made in Toronto near Queen’s Park. Architectural subjects can provide lots of interest, particularly if you are just looking at lines, shapes, angles and things like that. Geometry is all around us…if we choose to see it.
Our trip to Scotland would certainly rank very high on my list favourite places I’ve been. The history was fabulous and abundant. We visited many castles, both intact and ruins. I never tired of exploring the history. This particular place, Fyvie Castle dated back to 1211, how’s that for history? We all learned about medieval times in school but to have the opportunity to stand and witness things that existed during that time is a little surrealistic. I couldn’t help but wonder what sorts of things happened and what people from history may have visited here. There is something to be said for seeing history as opposed to reading about it in a book in school, that’s for sure!
This is a Ring Billed Gull I met in Niagara Falls one time. So common in many parts of Canada that we often think of them as nuisance birds, but they have their own beauty like any wildlife. Comments always welcome.
Well, here we go into another week. This time, I have dug into my Scotland folder and came out with this image of a lone boat on Loch Alsh . This image has actually had a couple of incarnations over the years, but I like this one the best. I have softened the scene considerably and I absolutely love the water. Minimalistic images have a way of grabbing you for some reason. I hope you like it.
